Borderlands 3 has a brand new roadmap from Gearbox
In September of last year, we were gifted with the third installment of the Borderlands series with the much-anticipated Borderlands 3. Now, a spring roadmap from developer Gearbox shows what’s on the way to the game between March and May.

The game seemed to live up to its high expectations with positive reviews, including one from here at the Courier. But by now fans of the game might be running out of steam, so this new roadmap is well-timed  - I wouldn’t holster your weapons just yet.

The roadmap, revealed at PAX East 2020, looks like it’ll keep even the most diehard of fans satisfied. The highlight seems to be the first release, which is set to launch this month. Titled Guns, Love, and Tentacles, the DLC looks like the crazed mayhem of Borderlands is set to clash head-on with the dystopian horror of Lovecraft, and the results are sure to be interesting. The pack will include a brand-new planet, story missions, and the return of some fan-favourite characters like Gaige and Deathtrap. And, of course, there’ll be a boatload of new guns.

That’s not all though, as in April alone we are set to get two additional updates. While they don’t seem as large as the first, the two updates, as well as a third in May are definitely welcome additions to the game. The first April update titled ‘Mayhem mode 2.0’ will introduce some new changes to the endgame ‘Mayhem’ mode like goofier modifiers to fit in with the over-the-top tone of the game.

May gives us the final update in the spring roadmap with the second Guardian Takedown.

The second update will add some limited-time events where you can earn some cool and unique rewards so it is definitely worth checking out. May gives us the final update in the spring roadmap with the second Guardian Takedown which, like the first, will add new bosses to defeat as well as Eridian-themed ‘Takedown encounters’ (Borderlands 3’s version of raids). All these will get you all sorts of new gear and cosmetics and are great reasons to get back in the game.

The next few months look great for the game, so why start revising and doing coursework when you can jump back into this cell-shaded wonderland?
