The Blades of Chaos wielding, Leviathan Axe throwing Ghost of Sparta is back, but not in the way many may have been expecting. First gracing our consoles in 2005 with God of War, Kratos has become an icon for gaming up there with the likes of Master Chief and Zelda. And with 2018s brilliant God of War, the love of the franchise has grown considerably with fans wanting more. And it looks like Dark Horse Comics is set to deliver.
It has recently been announced that Dark Horse will be releasing a new series titled God of War: Fallen God and is set after the events of God of War 3. For many, this will be an interesting read as it will hopefully shed some light on how exactly we got from the insane demigod beating his dad’s head into mush to the dad of the year. But the most recent installment of the series has certainly raised the level of quality to be expected by fans? So, can they deliver? I for one think they will.
Dark Horse has been behind numerous well-known comics like Hellboy, Umbrella Academy, Stranger Things, and even Star Wars.. The writer of the highly popular iZombie series Chris Robertson is set to write the comics while Tony Parker, whose previous work includes Mass Effect, will supply the art. They have been known to give some great content in the past so we should all be excited about what they in store for us and the big bearded god hater.
Set to release 24 June, the first issue is something any fan of the games, or comics in general, should definitely keep an eye out for. And what a better way to pass the time than playing through all the games. I mean what else were you planning on doing? Might as well get some quality one on one time with the boy.
