Will Zendaya be finally back on the small screen? Will Marvel finally find the right formula? Will dozens of reboots actually cure the fall-down of TV? All these questions will be answered in: The most anticipated shows of 2026.

As soon as the 17th day of the year HBO delivers us a snack to wait for the third season of House Of The Dragon (2022-) in summer. The first season of A Knight Of The Seven Kingdom (2026-) which is sold as a shorter and lighter version of Game Of Thrones (2011-1029), which might become an annual rendezvous for George R.R. Martin fans. Later on that month Marvel TV is back with Wonder Man (), that seems to be their most original and heterogeneous series yet. Towards the end of the month, Netflix will drop the first part of the fourth season of Bridgerton (2020-). In February, the iconic medical sitcom Scrubs (2001-) is back after 12 years for a 10th season, the first reboot of the year. Other more recent TV shows are also back for a new season like Paradise and The Night Agent. Meanwhile the two Seth Mcfarlan sitcoms, Family Guy (1999) and American Dad (2005), will premier the first of their four season renewal with a 24th and 22th season.

But he's not going to stop there because in March the second season of the series extracted from his film TED comes out on Peacock, and judging by the budget of the episodes it will probably be the last season. Super hero fans will be pleased with the fourth season of Invincible and the second season of Dardevil’s reboot (2015-). After almost 3 extremely long years, Netflix will finally drop the second season of One Piece () while HBO will air not one but two new comedy series, DTF St. Louis (2026) starring Jason Bateman and Rooster created by Bill Lawrence (the creator of Scrubs and Ted Lasso). April will also have some historical releases, the most popular one would be the third season of Euphoria (2019) after more than 4 years in the making. Another very anticipated one is the ultimate fifth season of The Boys (2019-2026), who has the opportunity to make one last political allegory, and we could really use it. In addition, Jon Ham pull out the second season of his Apple series Your Friends and Neighbours (2025-) after a first season that seduced the critics. Apart from that, the 2022 limited series Beef (2023-) turns out to be some kind of White Lotus (2021-) situation because it will have a second season with a whole new cast and FROM (2022-) will release its season 4.

For the rest of the year, except for Rivals which will have an anticipated second season in May, many series do not have a release date yet. We’re thinking of Lanterns (2026-) from the new DCU, Hacks (2021-) final fifth season, Dune: Prophecy (2024-) season 2, Futurama (1999-) season 11, Stuart from the Big Bang Theory (2007-2019) spin off, Ted Lasso reboot (2020-), the fourth season of The Gilded Age (2022-), the ninth season of Rick And Morty (2013-), The Bear (2022) season 5 and an untitled Larry David project from HBO. Obviously many other projects will be announced throughout the year with their release date. But keep in mind that an amazing TV show can come from anywhere at any time.
