Starting the day early is key to getting the most out of Dubrovnik. Walking the Old Town Walls which provide 360° panoramic views is a popular attraction due to the stunning scenery and exclusive photo opportunities.
During mid-morning taking a short ferry ride and picnic to neighbouring Lockrum Island is a must, the island is inhabited by wildlife but also host to ample gardens and swimming spots. However, the main attraction is the Benedictine Monastery, inside is an exhibition about the making of Game of Thrones where you can sit on the infamous iron throne.
I’d suggest spending your afternoon slowly wandering the winding cobbled streets inside the Old Town offering an abundance of local shops and restaurants, a perfect place later for an evening meal where you’ll be spoilt for choice.
To finish the night a cocktail at Bar by Azur, a cliffside bar while watching the sunset over the glittering sapphire sea.
Great article, lovely pics! I want to go!
