Greed is my greatest sin,
My student loan arrived, and I feel rich!
A spending spree calls me in,
and I hear out your reckless pitch…

These nights out get so expensive,
And we don't even have a good time,
These venues aren't that expansive,
And that feels like a crime…

It's funny how when we go out for food,
We love putting pictures on our story,
But the bill sends us into a foul mood,
Was it worth it for a tiny bit of glory?

Social media men sell me a life of opulence,
Flexing their big spending, their lives must be so cool,
But as soon as I indulge, I find myself in decadence,
I wonder if they would find inner peace something new?

My phone is tired of playing payment sounds,
The cost of living is making life dicey,
It's like I breathe, and I’ve spent twenty pounds,
And I ponder why existing is so pricey.

Adverts sell me things I don’t need,
Like a brand new Gucci belt.
I hate where this could lead…
Like a new bed set made of felt.

A cluttered room only clouds my mind.
So, I go for a walk, and the world is magically sunny,
I remember the world is so kind,
And for an hour, it's nice not to think about money.

My recommendation

Boots, because you can get a student discount put on your Advantage Card which makes the meal deal £3.36... which is a lifesaver when you're on a student budget!
