The perfect addition to a winter makeup look, it adds creativity and fun to any makeup look! If you pick the right colour, it can enhance your eye colour and really make it pop! For example, copper glitter eyeshadow goes beautifully with green eyes! You can buy it in dry glitter eyeshadow form, or liquid for longevity, as the glitter is not at risk of falling off onto your cheeks. You can even go for a Christmassy gold glitter – the Charlotte Tilbury ‘Hypnotizing Pop Shot’ in the shade ‘Rose Gold’ is a great party glitter and is available on beauty retailers from £18.75. You don’t need a lot of the product and therefore it lasts ages! The pretty packing is a plus too…
2. Highlighter
Adding the most gorgeous shimmer to your cheeks, highlighter can be applied as light or heavily as you like – whether you are opting for a casual look, or a party get up. I would opt for liquid highlighter, as it blends with the rest of your makeup better than powder, and is less ‘chunky’ in terms of glitter and sparkles. The Rare Beauty ‘Positive Light Liquid Luminizer’ is one of the most effective I have tried, and any of their shades are great. Priced at under £20, a little goes a long way, and is one of the longest lasting highlighters I have used. It doesn’t have to stay on your cheeks either! A little dab on the nose is perfect for all the angles.
3. Sparkly Lip Gloss
This can be layered over a matte lipstick to add dimension and sparkle to your lips. You don’t have to spend a fortune either – there are sparkly lip-glosses at all kinds of price points. If you want something more affordable, then Revolution’s ‘Shimmer Bomb’ is a solid contender. Sold at Superdrug for only £3 (less than a meal deal in this economy!), you really can’t go wrong with this. But if you want to opt for a more expensive version, Fenty’s ‘Gloss Bomb’ would be a great choice. My favourite shade is ‘Fu$$y’, and it smells incredible which always helps!
So, hopefully this will help you with makeup plans for any parties you may be attending this season. Remember – you can never have too much glitter!
