With the recent reveal of dozens more Marvel Cinematic Universe projects in the coming years, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania has fans stirring with anticipation for the future. Returning favourites Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) are leading the (supposed) final project in the Ant-Man trilogy, but with quite the twist in space and time.

After helping save this universe using time travel, alongside their fellow Avengers, the trailer shows the gang exploring the quantum realm even further – but at what cost? Recall back to Ant-Man and The Wasp (2018) when Hope’s mother Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer) returns from the unknowing quantum realm. Now, when Scott and Cassie Lang (Catherine Newton) send a signal to quantum realm, Janet insists they don’t. And as always, chaos ensues! They’re all sucked into the realm where, as viewers, we see mysterious inhabitants threatened by their presence.

Very little is known as to who exactly they will encounter, and as a fan myself I am very excited by the prospect of the new characters being introduced in this vast universe (such as Krylar played by the great Bill Murray). But in order to escape “the secret world beneath ours”, will they help ‘He Who Remains’ (Jonathan Majors)? In his great return after the Loki season finale, Kang evidently has all the power, but how will he inevitably manipulate our lovable friend, Scott Lang?

Being honest, we won’t know until the film release to answer any questions – let’s remember just how well the MCU keep secrets. For now, enjoy the visual beauty in the trailer and let the speculation begin! Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania hits theatres 17th of February 2023.
