Well, I must admit that season two of The Kardashians really let me down. I found myself missing episodes and ultimately failing to finish the season, so when the trailer dropped for season three, I wasn’t holding out much hope. It wasn’t until I actually watched the trailer that I became more excited for this season to drop.
In the first few seconds, we are reminded about Kim’s breakup with Pete Davidson, and it is established that her divorce from Kanye West has been finalised. The trailer then shifts in tone to focus on Kim’s children and the devastating impact Kanye’s recent actions have had upon their family life before it gets even more serious, and we learn about Khloe’s melanoma diagnosis. Almost immediately it is clear that this season is going to be an emotional rollercoaster and that we are being let into basically every aspect of their personal lives. Kourtney then appears halfway through to declare her unhappiness with Kim, and it feels like the old days again.
It is Kylie’s line about unrealistic beauty standards, however, that has thrown social media into chaos. Many have called her a hypocrite or condemned her for being ignorant of the matter until it affected her own daughter. I guess we’ll just have to see what Kylie meant by that line when season three arrives on the 25th of May.
