There are some trends this Autumn/ Winter that you really don’t want to miss out on. The weather change has brought with it some new trends as well as a few re vamped styles from the summer months. Everything from bold colours to the new dad shoe trend with this guide you won’t be fall-ing down on the fashion scale this coming season

1.  Animal print

Animal print has been on trend for a long time now and it definitely isn’t going out any time soon. Traditional leopard print is popular as ever blazing over jumpers, skirts and bags- it really is everywhere! However, autumn is also bringing a new surge of cow print. This perfect collision of black and white is a new must and can be spotted on Missguided and Pretty Little Thing.com. Animal print can be so versatile, the options are endless, a common play on leopard print is to change the colours- such as red or green rather than classic yellow. Let’s be honest; we’ve all stared in envy at ‘that’ girl in the Topshop double denim red animal print jacket and skirt.

2. The chunky trainer

The dad shoe / chunky trainer is definitely a love / hate item. The chunky sole is certainly not for everyone, however, they really are unavoidable this season and also add a great extra inch for anyone who wishes they were just that tiny bit taller. The Fila Disruptors are the craze of the moment but if you want to walk away from the crowd, then there are plenty of dupes. For example, ego sell the James chunky white trainer for just £20 which is extremely similar. Whilst the colour of the season seems to be white, trainers seem to have been updated from the standard black or white and 90s inspired colour pops and clashes are starting to take their claim.

3. Bold colours

Block, bold colours became especially popular over summer and this trend is undoubtedly continuing over this coming season. The best way to style them are by pairing two block colours together colours, even colours that you might not think to put together like purple and green can work extremely well. Another way to bring colour into the bleak wintery months is by choosing one stand out item and layering it into an all black look. Mustard is a great investment at the moment, it is literally everywhere, from catwalk to high street to pop culture, there’s no escaping this warming tone. Primark is one of the best places to find some great mustard essentials.

4. Puffa jackets and teddy coats

These came on trend last Autumn/ Winter and they are making a big coming back this season for 2018. The shearling material is perfect as It is so huggable and will also keep you warm on those cooler winter days. The only downside is they aren’t so good at withstanding the rain. However, the puffa jacket is a great choice for a damp day and also adds something extra to any outfit. Puffa jackets look great with jeans, leggings or even a skirt and are ticking all the boxes, especially since the bold statement colours have merged with the puffa coat trend, so you can pull off both of these trends in one.
