Laura Mercier has to be one of my favourite high-end brands with every product within their collection never failing to impress. They are the pioneer of the “Flawless Face” and a world-renowned company. I have tried a variety of products and will highlight the products which I believe are a must have within everyone’s makeup collection.
My all-time favourite product has to be Laura Mercier's 'Translucent Loose Setting Powder', this product works wonders for anyone and everyone. It prices at £29.00, which is a little steep but it is completely worth the money. It has won many award which are all majorly deserved, with its super smooth application, which goes on evenly and blends effortlessly. This product sets your makeup flawlessley for 12 hours, with a matte finish without adding weight or texture. One main reason why this product is so perfect, is that it is a no-flashback formula, creating a soft-focus effect to subtly blur the look of fine lines and imperfections, helping you to get the perfect photos. This lightweight, finely-milled powder never looking cakey which enable no creasing the occur. It comes in two shades, Translucent which is perfect for fair to medium tan skin tones and Translucent Medium Deep is ideal for medium deep to deep skin tones. It is recommended to apply this with the Velour Puff, However can be applied with any powder brush, the product does all the talking.
[pullquote]Every product I have tried has won me over and I have fallen instantly in love[/pullquote]My second favourite product from Laura Mercier is their ‘Face illuminators’, due to it being a long-wearing and buildable powder which allows you to gain both a natural-looking look or an intense one. There are four shades, ‘Addition’ is a gold shade, which works on most skin tones, ‘Seduction’ is the darkest shade which would work on more medium-deep skin tones, however you could use this for a bronzer if you have fairer skin tones. ‘Devotion’ has more pink undertones and would work on earth deep or really light skin tones, and ‘Indiscretion’ which has a warm rose gold colouring to it, which would work on most skin tones. I have both ‘Indiscretion’ and ‘Devotion’ and they are both so visually appealing within the packaging and on the face. I spray my brush with some setting powder if I am wanting to gain a more intense highlight. It is £32, but with its versatile I do believe you will not regret this purchase
Another product which I have been using more for a few months now is the ‘Flawless Fusion Foundation’, it’s not too thick on the skin but allows a full coverage to be evenly created. It states how it lasts for 15 hours and with the help of the translucent powder this is very much true. It is an oil-free product which is great as it allows this product to work on a range of skin types, which is always a key attribute to a good foundation. What I love most about this product is how the colour stays true all day and will not oxidize, where other foundations that I have tried never could promise this. This foundation really minimizes the look of my pores and hides any of my imperfections easily.
These are only a few products which I adore and I think are necessary for my makeup collection. Laura Mercier has to be my favourite beauty brand, as every product I have tried has won me over and I have fallen instantly in love with them all.
