A leaked line-up earlier this month suggests that This Country star Daisy May Cooper, your granny’s favourite ‘modern’ Popstar Paloma Faith, Tess Daly and Vernon Kay (Posh & Becks who). Oh and Tom Daley (please no Knitwear) will be taking part in the show.
So, whilst nothing has been confirmed yet, I thought this would be the perfect time to give you my dream line-up!
1. Gemma Collins
Basic, Predictable, I do not care. This would be TV gold, I mean come on we already know how sick she gets when playing games and with the the Traitors being the ultimate, most taxing and two-faced game on telly I think it would give the GC would plenty of opportunities for dramatic, camp and kitsch meltdowns (and showdowns).
2. Tina Malone
The Shameless star shone on Celebrity Big Brother back in 2009. She had an infamous argument with the rapper Coolio and made clear her feelings on having chicken during the day and beef during the night. She’s loud, brash and unapologetically herself, this would make for a fantastic Traitors contestant. She has also had a run-in with the GC before so queue fireworks.
3. Boy George
As a massive Culture Club fan this would make all my dreams come true. He proved on I’m a Celeb that he was outspoken and natural in front of a camera. He is also an esteemed performer and a reformed national treasure- so the Traitors would be the perfect fit (better than The Voice anyway).
4. Sharon Osbourne & Louis Walsh
She seems to be in her redemption era these days but deep down Mrs. O is still feisty and full of fun deep down. He is still a naughty school boy and Louis gets even more uncontrollable around his old chum. But together I bet they could put on one hell of a performance and maybe could be the series’ first joint pairing!
5. Victoria Beckham
Posh Spice would bring a touch of class to the show, she has the driest humour (watch her Vogue 21 questions, please I beg) and is unassuming. But I just know Vicki can perform when she needs to. Not only would this be a hit with viewers, she would also be a fantastic contestant.
6. Catherine Tate
Funny, freaky and absolutely wonderful in many ways. She would be a charming contestant, the Diane of the Celebrity Series and can definetly act her socks off. So, BBC producers sign Donna Noble up ASAP.
7. David Tennant
David Tennant I think was made for the Traitors, him and Claudia Winkleman would be comedy gold and plus he is a top bloody Actor a winning combo for the show. Plus an on-screen reunion with Tate would make everyone’s dreams come true.
8. Motsi Mabuse & Oti Mabuse
If you are a secret Strictly Fan like myself, then you will know all about the Mabuse sisters. Fun, charismatic and exciting. They would bring energy to the show and would be able to play the game very well- probably a little too well. This sisterly pairing should be a must on the BBC's list. Although Oti is currently down under filming I'm a Celeb so she will be exhausted with reality TV by the time this comes to fruition, especially as she is a judge on Dancing on Ice during the winter months as well!
9. Prince Harry
So, I promised myself to be realistic with this list, so I wasn’t going to suggest Madonna or Beyoncé anytime soon (although imagine that). But given his recent obsession with the limelight I could see this becoming more and more likely as the years (and autobiography’s) unfold. Would he be much cop as a contestant, probably not but would he be a worthy sign-up and eye-catching 100%!
10. Janet Street-Porter
I don’t know why, please do not ask why, but I absolutely adore this woman. Please, Please, Please BBC sign her up. Witty, Smart, Intellectual, she’s already a ratings winner for you on Have I Got News For You and she’s already said she could do ‘A Level Lying’ so a perfect fit for this show. Ps. Anything to get her away from that Loose Women Desk.
