Expected Book Releases

Independent publishers 404 Ink are continuing to redefine the world of non-fiction as they prepare to publish the third wave of their Inklings series.

Currently, 16 books are published in the Inklings series, each by a new author, and the next eight have been announced to release across 2023/24. The Inklings releasing in 2023 are:

• We're Falling Through Space: Doctor Who and Celebrating the Mundane by J. David Reed (May 2023)
• Deeping It: Colonialism, Culture & Criminalisation of UK Drill by Adèle Oliver (July 2023)
• The Last Day Before Exile: Stories of Resistance, Displacement & Finding Home by Selin Bucak (September 2023)
• Machine Readable Me: The Hidden Ways Tech Shapes our Identities by Zara Rahman (November 2023)

Averaging at only 112 pages each, these books are pocket-sized introductions to an impressive range of topics – Inklings released so far have covered everything from Dungeons & Dragons to adoptee identity. Most importantly, the Inklings series is accessible: they’re a fantastic way to learn something new without feeling like you’re taking on more academic reading than your course requires.
