The North East is home to many talented faces, not just Ant & Dec. Some of them have graced the silver screen as well as the X Factor Stage and Big Brother house.

James Arthur:

Middlesborough’s own James Arthur is one of the most successful artists to come out of Simon Cowell’s Music-Money-Making-Machine, The X Factor. He’s sold over 30 Million Records since he first performed a Dub-step remaster of Tulisa’s Dance-Pop single ‘Young’ (remember that eh?) back in 2012 on the X Factor Stage.

Anthony Hutton:

Consett Lad, Anthony Hutton, charmed the nations heart after winning the sixth series of Big Brother back in 2005. In recent years, he’s stayed loyal to the North East and owns Mr Hutton’s Barbers and Bar in Darlington, whilst still making occasional television appearances.

Jill Halfpenny:

From The Catherine Tate Show to EastEnders to Strictly and Shameless. Gateshead’s finest, Jill Halfpenny has been gracing our screens for nearly four decades. She has most recently starred alongside Larry Lamb in a Channel 5 drama, The Feud.

Vicky Pattison:

Former I’m a Celeb winner and Loose Woman (be nice) has become a queen of reality TV and a somewhat national treasure. She won the nations heart with her erm interesting antics on Geordie Shore…still gutted I never got to go to Tiger Tiger!

Rowan Atkinson:

I can’t be the only one who didn’t know this? Mr Bean, I repeat Mr Bean himself was born and bred in Consett, County Durham before coming to study at Newcastle University in the late 1970’s. So, Johnny English really is one of us after all!
