It’s that time of year again, not only have we all broken our new year’s resolutions to exfoliate everyday, eat kale and go to the gym, gorgeous celebs walking the red carpet make us normal lot self esteem plummet to new lows. Yes, it’s award season, so roll out the red carpet, get the hair spray and fake tan at the ready as this is a run down of this years best looks at the Grammy’s 2016.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift made Grammys history becoming the first female artist to take Album of the Year twice, but she also stole the headlines for her hair. Debuting a short blunt bob with a full fringe and buttery warm highlights, it’s safe to say she looked amazing. Her simple eye makeup, with black liner on top and a bronze liner under the eye really showed off her blue eyes to their fullest extent. The red lip classic thing that you like never goes out of style worked perfectly with her orange crop top and fuchsia skirt. Her whole outfit truly stole the show.

Selena Gomez

Alongside Taylor Swift was co-star of the bad-blood video Selena Gomez. Her hair was amazing; voluminous 70’s inspired waves with a deep side part. She teamed this look with simple dewy make-up. With shiny nude lips and glowing skin, she achieved what all girls set out to do, a totally flawless lit from within glow. With a smoky eye good enough to get every girl reaching for her naked palette, it seemed she truly nailed the look. However, I have one slight problem with her look: the contour. Contouring is a trend that seems to be getting more and more popular, but in many of the shots from the night, Selena’s contour is not at all subtle. Well blended illusion it should be. Regardless, this in no way stopped Selena from having one of the best beauty looks of the night.

Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid swapped the runway for the red carpet, her sleek wet-look hair, soft smoky eye using a silver eyeliner, and killer cheekbones just scream supermodel. She had the most amazing glowing skin and it is my new mission to find out what highlighter make up artist Vincent Oquendo used on her.

Lady Gaga

We’ve come to expect the weird and wonderful from Lady Gaga, from a dress made out of meat to big bows and bubble costumes, Lady Gaga never fails to impress with her outlandish sense of style. This year was no exception, and with a touching tribute to the late David Bowie, Gaga looked amazing with bright blue encrusted eye shadow and backcombed orange hair. And she wasn’t the only one to pay tribute: At first when I saw pictures of Zendaya I was majorly confused, when did the mullet come back in fashion? However after doing a little reading it turned out it was a tribute to David Bowie, and let’s face it she can pull of pretty much anything.

Florence Welch

Florence Welch too looked stunning, whilst her make up was barely noticeable, taking natural to new levels, what I love about this look was her amazing ginger auburn hair, which flowed perfect into a beachy wave. Her floor length pink Gucci gown with fringing and embellishment provided inspiration for her pink lip but with pale skin and only a little mascara she proves less is more.
