I like to think we would. In fact, I know we would. Just because you can’t show every person on Instagram the cute outfits you wore while visiting one of the seven wonders of the world (or Ibiza, whatever floats your boat) doesn’t mean we won’t enjoy the holiday just as much or have the same stories to tell when we get back.
Hell, in this hypothetical world where we can’t post about our travels it doesn’t necessarily even mean we can’t take photos, just that we can’t share them.
I think if we couldn't share our travels we might enjoy them a little more
Honestly, I think if we couldn’t share our travels we might enjoy them a little more. Maybe we’d all be less focused on whether we looked cute enough in that dress to post a picture of it and more focused on what we were seeing in that outfit.
I am, however, an absolute hypocrite and will be posting extensively about every single holiday I take until I’m in a nursing home somewhere.
What I’m trying to say is that we don’t need Insta stories and blogs and TikTok to have a good time whilst travelling. And we certainly don’t need them as motivation to travel. But having that visual, online document - a personal time capsule almost - can’t really be a bad thing, can it?
