Tibet is hailed as the “spine of the earth” for its high altitude and the sacredness, mystery and isolation associated with the endless snow peaks along the rolling mountain roads. You will see rainbow-coloured religious buildings scattered on steep cliffs, roaring rivers, the pilgrims kneeling their ways to their holy temple, and eternity embodied by the horizon where icy lakes and pure blue skies meet. It’s said that a journey to Tibet is a spiritual one, where its isolation and vastness triggers inner meditation. My week-long visit to Tibet was an journey of mind; Tibet’s unique culture and breath-taking natural beauty makes merely capturing it in photography feel thoughtful.
