My bucket list for my last few months at uni

How will you celebrate your final days in Newcastle?

As the year rolls by, there are only a few more months to the end of my course here at Newcastle. Being a master’s student, I’ve had a short ride here at the Toon, but I won’t forget to make the most of my experience here. I’ve curated a very basic bucket list that I hope to complete in the last few before my time ends here at Newcastle University.

  1. Taking my dissertation completion photo

This is not my first time writing a dissertation, although I’ve never had the chance to take a dissertation completion photo the first time. After coming here and seeing the scores of students that take a dissertation completion picture to highlight their progress, it has given me the will to take one myself this year.

2. Spend a night in the library

The Philip Robinson Library has served as a reliable space for all those times when it comes to deadlines and the need to focus on assignments and submissions. Since I live a little far from the campus, I haven’t been able to spend late hours in the library. Ideally, I’d like to be able to spend a whole night and experience a night at the library whilst completing some work.

3. Have a study date outside

I’m here to romanticise my degree to the maximum. A nice sunny day warrants a nice lunch out with a book in my hand. In the best situation I would not be studying but more so giving an impression of being a studious pupil whilst basking in the sun.

4. Give it a Go with ‘Give it a Go’

I’ve been following the give it a go page for months now and I still haven’t had the chance to go an activity. All the activities look entertaining and very enticing, yet I have put it off for way too long.

5. Buy a uni hoodie

This falls back into the typical cliché, but don’t we all like a good cliché? Before I leave this institution, I’d like to purchase a comfortable piece of fabric memories. I'd love to one day wear my ‘Newcastle University’ whilst I go on with my life in the future.

Your degree is an ornate time in your life. It is necessary to be able to do the things you’d like to do to make your experience complete.
