Bonham Real Estate Ltd. is the company behind this project, and it is to be managed by Silverstone Building Consultancy. Bonham owns the site on the corner of New Bridge Street and Clarence Street, which is closest to the Northumbria University City Campus East.
NETimes Magazine has reported that there will be 63 cluster flats, with four to six bedrooms each, and 37 studios, after the existing retail sites and office spaces are demolished. The construction is expected to take around 18 months to complete.
The building was designed by Sadler Brown architects. Their director, Martin Blight, has said that “It’s brilliant to have started work on this high-profile scheme, and to be part of a great delivery team bringing it to life.”
“We look forward to again working together with Silverstone Building Consultancy to create state-of-the-art accommodation that will offer residents the best possible quality of student living”.
Louise Stewart, the director of Silverstone Building Consultancy, has said that "Our practical and proactive management approach will ensure risks are spotted and mitigated at the earliest opportunity to ensure the scheme is successfully delivered, on time and on budget, ready to provide a home away from home for our region's students".
