Most of the original cast will return to reprise their much-loved roles, including Hugh Bonneville, Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin. It was a happy surprise to see that Dame Julie Walters is set to return as fiery Scottish housekeeper Mrs Bird, after a three-year pause from acting due to ill health. So the Brown clan are all set to return, with the exception of Sally Hawkins who has handed the role of the beloved Mrs Brown to the very capable Emily Mortimer.
I can’t wait to see what the little bear and his red hat and blue duffle coat get up to next!
There’s also new famous faces added to the star-studded cast, with the trailer revealing Olivia Colman and Antonio Banderas have joined the ranks of the Paddington Universe.
The film promises to be full of fun and jam packed with adventure, teasing snippets of Paddington whitewater rafting in his umbrella and what appears to be singing, dancing nuns - how very Sound of Music…
The Paddington films hold a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to see what the little bear and his red hat and blue duffle coat get up to next!
