It is that time of year again.
Not the dingy, depressing time of year when student houses are the almost sub-zero temperatures, deadlines are creeping up, and you can’t focus in your afternoon lecture because it is basically nighttime - but the time of year when the walk home is the prettiest, the streets are draped in lights, hot chocolate is appropriate at all times of the day, and a cozy evening wrapped up in bed with Netflix instead of a 3am sesh is 100% socially acceptable.
Shot on a Huawei P9 phone, this light-capture photo of sparklers that I am sure is familiar to us all, was taken at Bonfire night. It makes me happy because it reminds me that we are now in the best season; warm scarfs, fireworks, free food, presents from loved ones and twinkling lights which make Newcastle’s freezing weather worth it!
