Approach of summer

You remind me of a summer night

Like cold Rosé and fresh flowers.

I see you whenever I think of

The warm summer months.

Behind my eyes as I sleep I see us

Trying to hear each other in a noisy pub

Or in a museum I can’t pay attention to

Because it's too warm and you’ve made me laugh.

When the first ray of sun comes through

And the smell of suncream is strong

For a second I can forget

That it’s been so long .
