NUSU polled students on their strike opinions. The results are in.

53.3% voted for 'I support strike action' and 42.0% voted for 'I don't support strike action', while 4.8% abstained from voting. According to the results page on the NUSU website, 1600 students responded to the poll.

This data implies that approximately 852 students voted in favour of the strike action, around 672 voted against it, and 76 abstained.

The majority of students who responded supported the strikes, although the survey did not ask for comments and only had one question, therefore it is uncertain as to why students did or did not support strike action. The Students' Union has created a page regarding their actions during the strike period.

On 10 February, 2022, "401 Motion 'To mandate the SU to work with UCU to produce information regarding the strikes'" was passed. This motion "Mandate(s) sabbatical officers to engage with UCU to create informative materials for students for when strikes take place'".

The motion was not specific about what this means and left the definition of 'informative materials' open. The exact method by which this information will likely be transmitted will be communicated soon, as strikes have already begun.
