As a big snack eater, I’m always looking for new snacks to indulge myself in. This week, while grabbing a Pumpkin Spice Latter from Greggs, I came across their Belgian Chocolate Caramel Shortbreads. They're sold in a park of four, and while I didn’t even look to see if they were sold singularly, I was more than happy to buy them in bulk!
I’m a massive shortbread fan, but had never seen these ones from Greggs before. The buttery biscuit base (in the words of Greg Wallace), is just that – buttery and biscuity. It is one of those snacks that you have to put your hand under to catch the crumbs! Now, there isn’t too much chocolate on the top, it is just a thin layer, which really appeals to me, since I’m more of a caramel fan. But let me tell you about the caramel – this is the best part! The layer of caramel sits perfectly between the layer of chocolate and the layer of caramel! It is the perfect partner in crime for a latte on a Sunday afternoon.
