The prolific English goalscorer has spent his entire senior career at Tottenham, only being loaned out in his early days. It seems things are about to change though, with the striker poised for a move away from Spurs in the coming months. PSG, Bayern Munich and Manchester United are reportedly all interested, but the hefty price tag may lead these clubs to look elsewhere, perhaps for a younger forward in the aim of longevity. For a player of Kane’s calibre, to go an entire career without winning a trophy would be a real disappointment, and with Tottenham out of the Champions League race, it may be time for Harry to move on.
At just 19 years old, Jude Bellingham has had an exceptional career so far. Playing for his childhood club Birmingham City; competing at the top of the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund; and representing England in the World Cup. It’s no surprise that clubs are desperate to sign him at such a young age, with Liverpool and Manchester City in particular chasing the deal. It seems however that the midfielder is close to a deal with Real Madrid, despite Dortmund’s efforts to keep hold of him. There’s little doubt that Bellingham will thrive at Madrid, a club with aspirations of international success, and a place where he will battle for a place in the team with world-class youngsters like Camavinga, Tchouameni and Valverde.
For a club that has built it’s success upon a reputation of signing young, technical players from abroad, James Milner seems like the complete antithesis of a Brighton signing. The 37 year old Liverpool midfielder is out-of-contract in the summer, meaning Brighton will secure a deal with no transfer fee attached. While this signing may come as a shock to some, it makes sense from a Brighton perspective. While he obviously won’t sell for as much as Brighton’s players usually do, it’s important to have strong leaders at the club who can lead the youngsters with bravery and experience.
Lionel Messi is eyeing up a move away from France in the summer, with rumours of a return to his previous club Barcelona, where he began his career. However, the deal may be in jeopardy as Saudi Arabian team Al-Hilal have come through with an offer for Messi, with a contract offer that will see the Argentine World Cup winner earn over £350 million a year. This offer is a value Barcelona simply cannot compete with, who will have to hope Messi will choose his childhood club over the money.
