Cape Town is one of South Africa’s three capitals; an incredibly breath-taking and magnificent city that is positioned between the ocean and Table Mountain.

It’s the ‘Mother City’ of the country; an enchanting treasure of the Western Cape with its beaches, museums, artwork, gardens, bars, nightclubs and culture.  In 24 hours, there are countless trips to take and places to visit.

You can easily navigate yourself around the city or if you prefer, hop onto one of the sight-seeing buses which stand out against the idyllic backdrop with their bright red appearance. Easily spottable, these buses run around the whole city, enabling travellers to stop at desired destinations such as the Botanical Gardens, Long Street for a beer, Boulders Beach to see the Penguins, the National Art Gallery or Bo-Kaap; a collection of beautifully coloured houses and former township placed near Signal Hill.

Travellers love to hike up Table Mountain which takes approximately 1.5 hours one way. You may want to do a spot of shopping or visit the aquarium on the Waterfront. Once on the Waterfront, you can also find the boat tours to Robben Island; a historic land and educational opportunity to learn about Nelson Mandela’s past.

If you enjoy exploring off the beaten track, Observatory holds a very bohemian vibe; an area of Cape Town perfect for buying vintage clothes, used vinyl and new age books. I ended up buying ABBA's One Of Us and Fleetwood Mac's Albatross on records. You can grab yourself a coffee at one of the cool cafes or visit an indie concert venue.

Cape Town has something for everybody, a bustling centre of irrevocable beauty and energy. I will definitely be visiting again someday.
