The Fallout Day 2025 stream has been a mixed bag, definitely. Bethesda’s new annual Fallout stream dedicated towards celebration and reveals of new fallout content has released; with new expansions and updates to Fallout 76 & more.

Starting in order of reveals; the first major new reveal of the stream was an Anniversary edition of Fallout 4; containing content bundled into their GOTY edition (being all major expansions), and over 150 add-ons from the Bethesda Creations base. The creations content is definitely a unique and varied range of addons, but at its core it is simply the GOTY edition with new add-ons, making the edition feel like less of an anniversary edition and more of a “Bundle deal.”  Additionally, the first mainline Fallout game comes to Nintendo consoles, as Fallout 4 is now slated for re-release for the Nintendo Switch 2, as Bethesda promises versions of the Anniversary Edition for the console, releasing estimated 2026.

The stream additionally acknowledged the Obsidian-developed Fallout: New Vegas, now reaching its 15th anniversary. The game, initially released in 2010 to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC was celebrated with a message from the developers, a new 15th anniversary bundle. The bundle includes an 8” statue of Victor, 3 Evaluation/Rorschach tests, and 2 patches, and the ultimate edition of the game for PC. This all retailing for £140, for a game which can be bought for £15. It can’t be glossed over that many fans of the cult classic, including prominent cast members such as Danny Trejo, had been hoping for an announce of a New Vegas remaster, remake or potentially sequel; or a shadow-drop, not unlike how Bethesda had done with their remaster of TES: Oblivion earlier in the year. But alas, fans will have to wait for the future to ideally prove more fruitful.

Fallout Shelter announces the “largest update since launch”, planning a seasons/battle pass themed update schedule, opting in to the live service schema of games, which for a mobile game can be understood. For fans of Fallout Shelter, it promises a new and ready source of content over the lifespan of the game.

In regards to content for Fallout 76, the stream fully debuted the new Burning Springs expansion, set in the desert wastelands of Ohio with new storylines to be explored through quests and a thunderdome-esq battle arena for players to battle enemies in. It also includes Walton Goggins, reprising his role as “The Ghoul” from the Fallout TV series running a bounty hunting business for players to engage in. The expansion will be free, and releases on December 2nd. Additionally, talks of re-releases for PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S of Fallout 76, to more properly take advantage of the hardware are slated for 2026.

The stream ended with well wishes to the series from the cast of the TV series, with the second season slated to release on the 17th December of this year.

Overall, the stream promises re-releases and new content for current games, alongside a strong deluge of physical merchandise; but disappointingly little in new games, save a remark that “More is in the works” by Todd Howard, Bethesda’s Director.
