The days are getting longer, people are actually smiling, and the sun is here to make all your exam-stress worries melt away. Here’s some al-fresco date ideas to spruce up the summer months.
Picnic date

A classic, but for good reason. Picnics are the perfect way to spend a day in the sun with someone you fancy. Get a blanket out, pack some berries and sandwiches into a wicker basket, and tell me they won’t just fall in love with you. Bonus points for wearing a cute picnic fit and bringing a polaroid, maybe even by the water. I’m getting excited just writing about it!

Rooftop bar

Who doesn’t love a rooftop bar? Get yourself down to ‘Above’ or ‘Roof Thirty Nine’ in Newcastle centre and eat your heart out in a black satin slip. Imagine talking over wine about your travels and how much you (don’t) know about art with someone who’s paying for your food? Stop it.

Beach day at Tynemouth

Let them buy you some jewellery the market and get an iced coffee at ‘Deep North’Then, wander down to the beach and pretend you’re on your honeymoon in sunny Newcastle. Go for a dip and get the metro back in your flip-flops! Perfect.
