The premier episode of ‘Agatha All Along’ finds our favourite Wicked Witch investigating the death of a woman found in the woods as the star of her own detective show - ‘Agnes of Westview.’ The investigation takes Harkness all around the town, featuring familiar faces playing new characters.

After a long day of investigating, Agnes kicks back for a sexually-charged glass of wine with Rival FBI Agent Rio Vidal, before a teen – named ‘Teen’ – wearing a lot of eyeliner breaks in, flees from her, and gets hit by Sharon Davis’ car. Agnes interrogates him, he chants an incantation, and Agatha finds herself in the morgue undergoing a series of rapid-costume changes that leave her free from Wanda’s spell of the last 3 years. Rio reappears in her witchy get up to kill her but decides to wait until she has her ‘purple’ back - a fair fight.

In Episode 2, Agatha sets off with Teen to assemble a coven, finding kooky Divination Witch Lilia, traumatised Protection Witch Alice, delightful Neighbour Sharon and bound Potion’s Witch Jen. The coven performs the Ballad, narrowly escape the Salem Seven, and find themselves on The Witches’ Road.

Episode 3 is a wild ride. Sharon is not best pleased with her situation, causing her to stray from the path. Luckily, she survives (it’d suck if she died). The coven faces their first trial on The Road. Poisoned, with 30 minutes for Jen to assemble a cure, the coven tackle hallucinations, puffy faces and very bad headaches. Eventually all drink the cure for the Alewife Curse. Horrifically, the cure doesn’t work on dear sweet Sharon, therefore she is lost to The Road.

The 4th episode sees The Coven summoning a replacement Green Witch, and lucky for them all – except Harkness – they get the Green Witch, Rio Vidal. In true Aubrey Plaza fashion, she creeps everyone out, before arriving at the next trial. In some gorgeous 70s attire, the witches perform Alice’s mother’s version of the ballad, to destroy the curse of her bloodline. The Curse is destroyed, but Teen is injured in the chaos. Jen heals his wound and, uncharacteristically, Harkness waits at his bedside until he wakes. Then he asks about her dead son, and she leaves. Rio and Agatha nearly kiss! But Rio kills the mood by destroying Agatha’s delusions about Teen being her aforementioned dead son.

And that is where we leave The Coven until Thursday. I swear they’re going to kiss this week; I can feel it.
