The clothes drive is a “safe space for trans and non-binary people to find identity-affirming clothing and community support.” Not only will the event offer free clothing (organised by type, not gender), but also pay as you feel haircuts by @badbloodbarbers, access to wellbeing resources, a stim friendly area, and community support from @transmutualaidnewcastle.

Rainbow@ncl are gratefully accepting donations of clean clothing, shoes and accessories in good condition as well as unopened cosmetics and self-care items, and it couldn’t be easier to donate! Donations can be brought along on the day, or there is a donation point on the ground floor of the Kings Gate building. Any leftover donations will be re-used at next year’s drive or donated to a local LGBTQ+ charity. Please bring along those items gathering dust in your wardrobe; something you haven’t worn in years could make someone’s day.
Everyone is welcome at the clothes drive, and whether or not you are in need of a wardrobe refresh, it is an amazing opportunity to access wellbeing and community support.
For further information about donations, or if you have any other questions, refer to Rainbow@ncl’s Instagram page, or email billie.moffat-knox@ncl.ac.uk.
