Autumn is officially here and if there’s one thing that makes the cold weather a little more bearable, it's a good coffee. Luckily, Sunday Coffee & Kitchen has introduced a new seasonal menu filled with creative drinks and plenty of sweet treats just in time for the darker days. Of course, my friend and I had to pay them a visit… and it's safe to say we’ll be back.
Their new menu features everything from pumpkin-spiced maple lattes and cinnamon bun matcha to Biscoff pancakes and apple crumble oats. But if you’re not quite ready to embrace autumn, there are still plenty of smoothies and savoury options to choose from!
...I felt like I’d been dropped into an episode of Gilmore Girls.
The highlight of our visit was easily the coffee. We ordered the iced almond croissant latte and the sticky banana bread latte, both of which were seriously amazing; I felt like I’d been dropped into an episode of Gilmore Girls. At £5.80 each, they are more of a treat than your everyday coffee, but absolutely worth every penny. We’re already planning our next visit to work our way through the rest of the menu.
We, of course, couldn’t leave without trying the pancakes and we were not disappointed. We went for the s’mores and sticky toffee pancake stacks, both were delicious; exactly what you’d be craving on a chilly autumn morning. They’re definitely on the sweeter side, so if you’ve got a sweet tooth, absolutely worth a try!
And if their menu wasn’t already enticing enough, they have a counter of beautifully decorated cookies that would pair perfectly with their coffees. We unfortunately didn’t try them this time but they’re definitely on our list!
Sunday offers students a 10% discount, and their entire menu is available on Uber Eats, so there’s no excuse to not give this spot a try. Even better, it's a solely woman-owned and mostly women-ran business, which makes supporting them all the sweeter.
