Hey Piotr, how long have you been single?
I’ve been single for the better part of this year. Timewise and literally.
What do you look for in a potential partner?
I like someone with a sense of humour, who looks forward to getting things done and enjoys planning ahead. Ultimately, a bit of a dork.
You met at Grey’s Monument, but if Alice was a Newcastle landmark what would she be and why?
It would have to be a travelling landmark, for sure, so that’s definitely the lighthouse in North Shields.
Did Alice seem like your usual type at first?
A blonde with a sense of humour, what more do you need to know? Did Alice seem like your usual type at first?
Where did you go on your date?
We went to a nice cosy bar around Grainger Market. It had good tunes.
If Alice was a genre of music what would she be and why?
She’d be disco soul with a touch of rock. Kind of like The Rolling Stones in the late 70s.
Did you have a lot in common?
Surprisingly yeah! It was getting funny at times because we were into a lot of similar things. But in general we talked around things rather than focusing on the specifics which was good. I’m always up for a deep chat.
Was it a good date overall?
On a scale of 1 to 10 it was Goodfellas.
Describe Alice in three words.
Hopeful, bright and genuine.
Do you think you’ll see each other again?
I’m up for spending some more time with her - and I definitely enjoyed myself so I don’t see why not.
Hey Alice, What made you sign up for Blind Date?
My friend and I thought it would be a fun experience to meet someone completely new.
What was your biggest fear leading up to the date?
That I wouldn’t be able to see as I forgot my glasses!
What’s more important in a potential partner: looks or personality?
I’d definitely pick personality over looks - it is so much harder to be funny than fit.
What were your first impressions of Piotr?
He dressed well and was polite.
What did you get up to on your date?
We went to No28 above Grainger Market.
Did your conversations with Piotr flow naturally?
Yeah we had lots to talk about; it was a refreshing experience talking to a complete stranger!
If Piotr was a stall at the Christmas market what would he be and why?
Maybe the Apres Ski Bar as he had very good taste in music.
What was your favourite and least favourite part of the date?
My favourite was being introduced to a new drink - luckily there wasn’t a least favourite!
Describe Piotr in three words.
Chatty, friendly and smart.
Do you think the Courier matched you up well?
I think it was a very nice evening we had a lot to talk about so yeah!
Will you be going on a second date?
We spoke about meeting for a coffee or something more relaxed.
