2025 has already been a great year for music lovers everywhere, especially for rap music listeners. The UK based hip-hop and rap artist, Central Cee, finally launched his debut album, rightly titled Can’t Rush Greatness. Because every single track on this album is a banger.

After rising to worldwide fame with hit singles like ‘Doja’ and ‘Sprinter’, Central Cee had a global audience captivated with his features and impeccable drill and rap bars. In this album, he’s exhibited his signature fast paced beats and trap flow, along with really expanding his range as a rap artist. The album includes great collaborations with international artists like 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Young Miko, Dave, and even includes his hit single with Lil Baby on 'BAND4BAND' and a collab with Skepta on 'Ten'.

The album really encompasses the full scope of Central Cee’s abilities as a rapper, with low key dance beats talking about his past and rise to fame in ‘Gata’, whilst also capturing his iconic drill style in bops like ‘GBP’ and ‘St. Patrick’s’. The artist talks about his instant rise to fame, while also paying homage to his British roots by making local references. He is trying to explain to his listeners that the life of fast fame is not always as it is dreamed out to be, while also being grateful for his success and trying to inspire others.

The core of the album resides in the rapper telling people how he wants his music to touch people, and while not every song might have mass appeal, he is okay with that as he is just human, and everyone has their journey. His album talks about his vulnerabilities in tracks like ‘Limitless’ and ‘Don’t Know Anymore’, where he expresses how it is hard to rap and be commercial with everything that has happened in his life. He chooses to be real with his narrative, rather than just appeal to industry standards, and the album tells a well-rounded story about his reality, from success to heartbreak, and longing to humility. I can’t wait for his next album, as Central Cee’s growth as a creator is evident in this one, and left fans everywhere hungry for more.
