As our 5 remaining contestants of Alan Carr and Cat Burns (Traitors) & Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga (Faithful’s) enter the breakfast room for the final time, we see each contestant reflecting on their experience on the show. This season has seen the faithfuls do considerably worse than all other British series of The Traitors (2022), taking the longest time to catch a singular traitor as well as catching the least amount of traitors before the finale. This being said, the remaining 2 traitors (Alan & Cat) are quietly confident going into the finale, attempting to convince Joe to vote with for David with them at the roundtable, as David has been frequently suspected of being a traitor.

In a final challenge to gain as much money for the charity prize point as possible, the iconic Claudia Winkleman sends the celebrities on a train ride full of tasks. The celebrities work amazingly as a team, winning the maximum amount of money on offer and as they run toward Claudia with their money, the train explodes in a very cinematic end to this season’s challenges.
Back at the castle, it’s time to vote. The roundtable sees a lot of back and forth, with both traitors voting for David whilst David and Nick vote for Cat, leaving Joe with the deciding vote. Joe chooses to banish Cat, much to the shock of Alan. As Cat leaves, we see Alan stressing, being a lone traitor for the first time this entire series. Claudia then asks the celebrities if they choose to finish the game and all of the remaining contestants choose to vote again, trying to ensure that the only faithfuls remain. Alan votes first, choosing to banish Joe, with Joe returning the favour and voting for Alan. Then, the moment that shocked the entire nation, David and Nick choose to banish Joe! With 3 votes to 1, Joe is banished from the castle, and the remaining 3 contestants choose to end the game. As David and Nick are revealed to be faithful, Alan announces that he’s been a traitor the entire time. Alan subsequently breaks but he played such an amazing game, everyone knew he deserved to win!
Overall, this season has been amazing. Even the early out contestants such as Clare Balding, Paloma Faith and Tom Daley had iconic moments and to see Alan Carr thrive when few expected it was truly iconic (justice for Clare though, she knew it was Alan so early and nobody listened to her). The Finale closes with a teaser for the next season of The Traitors (non-celebrity) which is likely to come out early in 2026!!
