The album was initially released on 21 July 2003 by a then 18 year old Dizzee Rascal, real name Dylan Kwabena Mills, and became the first Platinum-selling UK rap album. The album is being re-released by XL Recordings as two-volumes featuring the original album alongside rare and unreleased material. The deluxe album is available digitally on streaming services. Deluxe vinyl editions are available for pre-order for release 3rd November.
Dizzee Rascal performed at the O2 Arena in London back in March which was met with four star reviews from The Telegraph and The Evening Standard. Following the success, several more dates were added for cities including Newcastle, Nottingham and Cardiff.
The show includes the Boy in Da Corner album in it's entirety and will be followed by iconic songs such as 'Bonkers' and 'Bassline Junkie' which have become unofficial British anthems since their release. Support acts for the Newcastle show include Bad Boy Chiller Crew, Window Kid and Mace the Great.
