Swap Easter eggs for pastries and escape to the colourful streets of Copenhagen this Easter. Whether you’re a foodie looking for your next taste extravaganza, a shopaholic wanting their next best buy, or an eager tourist ready to take on the sights, there’s something for everyone. With many no-to-low-cost activities, it’s the perfect last-minute break.

Just a short flight time of under 2 hours and return flights starting from just £50 for all London airports, Copenhagen is the perfect Easter city break for all, offering fun activities, lots of food options, and some gorgeous Spring sun moving into the end of March towards early April.

From decadent cinnamon swirls to extravagant filled croissants, there's something for everyone.

Having visited Copenhagen myself, my favourite activity would have to be café hopping, as Copenhagen is famous for their patisserie selection. From decadent cinnamon swirls to extravagant filled croissants, there’s something for everyone. If shopping is more your thing, there are endless options, starting with small independent businesses hidden in the cobbled streets, to the designer outlets such as GANNI, allowing you to embody the cool, trendy ‘Scandi girl’ version of yourself. Sight-seeing is also a must, with the colourful Nyhavn being a must-see activity - the harbour which is lined with colourful brick houses, small cafes and cute shops - the perfect Spring Day walk. Another must is a visit to The Little Mermaid, a famous statue located on a rock off the shore of the Langelinie promenade - free to visit and a true Copenhagen classic.

Copenhagen offers cheap travel, sunny days, low-cost activities for everyone, and has a vibrant food scene.

Heading into the evening, you will be looking for your next favourite dinner spot. Thankfully, Copenhagen has it all. If you’re looking for a quick but tasty fix, head for Fabro, where bowls of pasta are priced at around £11 (109 kr), but be quick, they work on a walk-in basis only, so the earlier the better! For those of us who can never choose, Pico Pizza offers a ‘flight’ style of dining, where you can choose 3 different mini pizzas on one board - around £16 (160 kr). Finally, to end the night with some nice drinks, head for Café Vivaldi, boasting log fire heaters, people-watching and a crisp glass of the finest Rose! All in all, Copenhagen offers cheap travel, sunny days, low-cost activities for everyone, and has a vibrant food scene - the perfect last-minute Easter getaway.
