Will we see Red Bull dominance yet again this year, or will other teams finally have an ace up their sleeve?
As the 2024 Formula 1 season officially begins, even though testing doesn't always reflect the season as we advance, we're still going to overanalyze it.

The radically new car design of Red Bull seems to have paid off as Verstappen's already leading the pack, whilst presumably using low engine power. We can expect changes over the season, such as no side-pods which should increase their race pace, which is bad news for Ferrari.

Although behind Red Bull, Ferrari puts up a fierce fight with a "more driveable and predictable" car design. Expect their notorious one-lap pace to still be a force to be reckoned with at qualifying. Even their race pace should develop due to the visible increased quality in tyre management.

Norris openly stated in an interview that McLaren is behind Red Bull and Ferrari at the moment. Despite the improvement in one-lap pace, the race pace is questionable as the car faced fuel tank, clutch, and tyre degradation problems. Whilst we might see a good qualifying, it might take some more time to see the new McLaren shine.

Contrastingly, Mercedes' drivers seem confident with the new 2024 car with pushrod suspensions, a new front wing, and a further back cockpit. The changes seem to all be in Hamilton's favor. Overall the car seems much more reliable than last year, which should result in consistency.

Ferrari's race pace should develop due to the visible increased quality in tyre management.

AlphaTauri, now as RB, has optimism, with Ricciardo even aiming for Q3. The car seems to share the RB-19's suspension and gearbox, whilst implementing changes in aerodynamics. With a now consistent driver pairing, RB can redeem themselves in 2024.

Aston Martin is putting in race pace in competition with top teams. We can expect Alonso to shine as Bahrain is one of his best tracks. The changes on the car will be tested in tracks with long straights.

Williams is still dominating on the straights, which might not reflect in Bahrain but will be beneficial in tracks like Monza and Spa. However, the rear end of the car is unstable, as we witnessed Logan Sargeant spinning off the track.

Whilst Sauber had good speed, they have a history of glory running in testing. Haas focused on getting tire management data. Alpine seems unreliable and unstable. Gasly stated that it's "not going to be an easy start" as the car is allegedly slow, aerodynamically inefficient, and overweight.

Regardless, most cars seem more stable with better downforce, smoothly turning on curbs. Expect a competitive 2024 season but with a high chance of listening to the Dutch national anthem at the end of every race.
