It reminds us how important it is to stand together as a community against sexual violence.
RCTN stands for Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland and are a specialist charity providing support for people affected by sexual violence. Their charitable purpose is to provide services primarily for women and girls aged thirteen and above who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. They provide services for women where appropriate and lawful, separate support pathways for trans women and remaining committed to compassionate, trauma informed and survivor centred support. With recent news which has come out locally, nationally and internationally it reminds us how important raising awareness about sexual assault is. It reminds us how important it is to stand together as a community against sexual violence.
