Everyman Cinema
This is no ordinary cinema experience, as the seats are super comfy couches with pillows! It's the perfect way to watch a movie on the big screen whilst getting comfy together. Located in the city centre opposite Theatre Royal, the cinema shows new films as well as throwback classics, and you can even order food and drink directly to your seat before the film starts. Dog and Scone
Located near Bigg market, the Dog Cafe is a super cute experience that everyone should try. Whether you're a dog person or not, the Dog and Scone provides a brilliant serotonin boost. Lane 7
Bowling is a classic date where you can let your competitive side shine. At Lane 7 you can bowl and order drinks, and finish the night with a cute Photo Booth sesh! There is also table tennis, darts, pool tables, and retro arcade games. Student discount: off-peak bowling (Sun-Wed).
Ice Skating
Ice skating call be all year round! Just a metro trip away, the Whitley Bay ice rink is another fun activity, regardless of how pro you are. If you want to take it up a level, they host a special disco session on Friday evenings. Student discount: weekdays except disco.
Angel of the North Picnic
When the weather starts to get a little warmer, romantic picnic season is coming! Simply hop on the number 21 bus from Eldon Square and enjoy a picnic with a view of the famous sculpture in Gateshead. Student discount: cheaper bus fare for under 25s.
Turtle Bay Bottomless Brunch
The classic dinner date with a twist - enjoy bottomless cocktails for 2 hours! Although a little pricey, it's worth trying at least once, and you really do get your money's worth. The decor is also pretty cool.
Tynemouth

This probably isn't first date material, but you can't beat a good shopping trip. Book a cheap train on the day and shop till you drop.
