Pick a Colour:
The rules are simple: everyone has to wear the host’s favourite colour. In terms of versatility, this is a great option, as guests can dress head to toe in the chosen colour, or simply wear an accessory, depending how ‘all out’ they want to go. Plus, it’s super budget friendly, as there will definitely be something at the bottom of everyone’s wardrobe that they can throw on. If you want to host a fun party that’s easy and cheap, this theme is for you!
White Lies:
For this theme, you’ll need white t-shirts and a marker pen. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t that simple. The idea is that all guests write a white lie about themselves on their t-shirt - the more shocking and hilarious, the better! This is the perfect option for a bigger party where not everyone will know each other, as the t-shirts are a great conversation starter and are guaranteed to cause lots of laughs. Just be warned, some white lies may cause drama!
Roaring Twenties:
If you’re looking for the most Instagrammable theme, the Jazz Age is a winner. Although this theme will take a little bit more effort, it will definitely pay off. With stunning sequins, tassels, headbands and feathers, the 1920s is the perfect decade to celebrate special occasions like birthdays. Costumes are easy to find, or guests can even DIY them themselves. For a more sophisticated party, this opulent theme is at the top of my list.
