After a long day of attending one lecture and doing nothing but scroll on Tiktok/Instagram, it’s safe to say I am SHATTERED. I absolutely must unwind and cannot do anything productive (like crack on with the mountains of untouched Uni work). It’s important to take breaks after all; the last thing I want is to burn out.

But, I hear you ask, how exactly do you unwind after a day of such intense grafting? Well, it’s simple. I get into my pyjamas, grab my laptop, and then rot in my bed for the night. Sometimes I’ll watch YouTube, other times I’ll watch Netflix, or if I’m feeling particularly boujee, I’ll crack out BBC iPlayer. There’s nothing that fills me more with comfort than seeing Zoe Sugg has uploaded a 40-minute vlog. However, sometimes my attention span just isn’t ready to commit to watching something, so I’ll put on my speaker and then mindlessly scroll on my phone. And since you’re dying to know what music I listen to, so that you can replicate my exact routine, I can tell you with absolute certainty that I’ll be listening to Arctic Monkeys. My housemates can back me up with that.

If I’m feeling particularly social, I might go and bother my friends and watch something with them in the living room. Although, we have a habit of picking really uncomfortable places to gather in our house, such as the kitchen floor, or the hallway. In times like these, we’ll end up chatting for hours, until we can no longer tolerate the inconvenient place we’ve chosen to flock together. Nonetheless, we’ve shared a lot of laughs (and trauma) within the confines of our house, and I love them dearly.

At the end of one of these intensely hardworking days, I will drift off to sleep, ready to do it all over again tomorrow.
