This Saturday, the UK’s beloved Bingo phenomenon returns to take the North East by storm, sweeping very special guests S Club 7 along with it.
Having started in Liverpool 2 years ago, Bongo’s Bingo seems to have acquired a massive following overnight and is even set to make its Dubai debut this spring. Its fans are largely made up of students, which is a testament to just how revolutionary this event is. With its rave intervals, dance-offs and sing-alongs, you’ll be sure to find no OAPs here.
"weird and wonderful games, unexplainable shenanigans and chances to win cash prizes"
Newcastle’s serving of Bongo’s Bingo takes place at Boiler Shop, a venue right in the heart of the city near the Quayside and Central Station. Boiler Shop has welcomed some great artists and DJs through its doors which has gained it national recognition, so there’s no doubt that this is the right space to ensure a good time.
In traditional Bongo’s fashion, the night of bingo will be littered with a vibrant array of weird and wonderful games, unexplainable shenanigans and chances to win cash prizes and yes, you heard it here first – Henry Hoovers. This weekend’s attendees will also be treated to exclusive performances from members of the noughties’ favourite Pop group, S Club 7. For one night only, Newcastle students and the general public have the opportunity to relive their childhood and dance the night away to familiar favourites like ‘Reach’, ‘Don’t Stop Movin’ and ‘Never Had A Dream Come True’.
Bongo’s Bingo has more international shows to announce soon, so don’t waste your chance to experience it before the rest of the world.
