It’s time for your weekly check-up. Lucky for you we have the go to stores of the week, making them the most iconic places to be seen shopping in Newcastle.

Rags or Runway? What do you think? We think that this week’s latest memo goes to runway, with streetwear/vintage clothing being the up most must have style in the North.

END. CLOTHING

END. Clothing, you probably haven’t missed this compact store for international, urban streetwear brands. With over 60 brands, this globally sourced menswear store is at the heart of Newcastle city centre, located in Grainger Street. Who says we females can’t wear menswear? Most streetwear brands are highly aimed at both male and female, with data showing females are dominantly creating the sales for this store. With an online portal for the Newcastle based, endclothing.com features future facing clothing from bold, edgy urban brands like Alpha Industries, Kenzo, Champion and Stussy, as well as a populous microsite for sneaker launches.

CRUISE FASHION

What if we were actually going on the runway? Cruise is recognised as one of the UK’s leading luxury retailers with a prestige status for its iconic international designer collections and stylish streetwear, featuring brands such as Gucci, Moncler, Balenciaga, Valentino, Polo Ralph Lauren and Vivienne Westwood. If you love fashion and adore your designer labels, this is certainly the store for you. It is very accessible as it is located in Newcastle Premium, situated near the renowned Laing Arts Gallery.

FLIP VINTAGE

Flip Vintage is Newcastle’s oldest established vintage store, which has been importing genuine American clothing since 1978 and have built a strong identity and reputation in the North East. It stocks a large selection of clothing and brands including my favourite label Levi. Who doesn’t love American vintage clothing? From vintage American football jerseys to the classic Hawaiian shirt. As it is in the student central, Flip Vintage offers a 10% discount for students on all purchases, you can’t argue with that? Why settle for high street knock-offs and fake ‘retro’ outfits when you can own the original for a lot less!
