Marvel Rivals hits the shelves on the 6th of December, with 27 of the 33 playable characters being confirmed by NetEase. The ambitious road map has now been released ahead of the launch, and fans are even more excited upon seeing it. The PVP shooter game is poised for success, but will the recent arrests at NetEase in connection to money laundering overshadow the release?
Another highly anticipated release is that of Path of Exile 2, with early access release happening on the 6th of December also. What was initially intended to be a free expansion has turned into a fully blown sequel game of its own, complete with new weapons, different skill system and new classes. Originally planned to have a 2022 release, before being delayed by another three weeks due to “server-side infrastructure work”, fans have been waiting with bated breath for this one.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will also be making an appearance in December, releasing exclusively for Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X and S and Windows PC on the 9th of the month. Developed by MachineGames with input from Lucasfilm Games, it already has a slew of positive early reviews coming through. While many games adapted from films have flopped in the past, it’s looking like Dr Jones will be the exception.
For those who are after a cosier alternative, Infinity Nikki releases on the 5th of December. From the designer of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, this open-world game sees Nikki and Momo travel across Miraland. Complete with whimsical creatures and gorgeous outfits, it’s the ideal game for a cosy winter evening.
