Winter and Fall are my favourite times to experiment with eyeshadows. It’s the time of year where we can use warm, bold colours to create a look that simply defines the season. We will be exploring fall and winter palettes you must have in your make up bag. The lucky thing with eyeshadow palettes is that you can get both affordable and higher costing products best suited to your budget and style.

Firstly, going in with the fall palettes. The absolute dream is the Anastasia Beverly hills Renaissance, this is flooding with stunning colours having berry shades, rustic reds, subtle oranges and pinks which all combine to bring the perfect autumnal feel. The pigmentation is strong, creating a smooth and solid blend with a small amount of product. This can easily be used by both beginners in makeup and professionals as it allows the versatility from natural looks but also those seeking out more experimental looks with the bold colours. Although this comes high in the price range it is definitely worth the money.

There is also a more affordable palette which is worth investing in and it is the Revolution Re-loaded Newtrals 2 Eye shadow palette. This is priced at an unbelievable £4! Yet it is definitely just as good as the Anastasia palette. Although this palette has been out for three years it still continues to be a favourite of the drugstore collections providing the perfect colours of oranges, pinks, reds and coppers to create any look that screams Autumn. The pigmentation is strong, however you'll need to layer it on to get that bold colour on the lid. Although more time is required for blending, it has a stunning airbrushed finish with the colours blending out to help shape the face.

Moving onto the winter palettes. The first one to invest in is the Morphe 35G bronze goals palette, and although it comes under the higher price category it is still relatively affordable at £24. This palette presents a domination of all kinds of shimmers with matte shades to contribute to the festive or seasonal look you are going for. The shimmers all shout Christmas with golds, silver and darker shimmers which help to create the perfect party night look for balls or work nights out and can also be toned down for a day to day look. The palette includes five different shades which means it really does have something for everyone inside. If you want a matte golden look or for your eyes to sparkle and reflect the celebration of the classic Christmas look then this is the palette for you.

Finally we will look at the more affordable winter palette - the NYX eyeshadow palette Phoenix 16. This pro level palette with sixteen high performance shades are perfect for winter, with berry reds, mustard yellows, silver shimmers and even shades for a smoky navy look fitting for the winter season. This palette is so on trend with its variety of matte, satin and glitter finishes which all have an incredible blendable formula in order to create intense and sizzling looks to spice up your winter this year. This product comes at £16 with a 4.7/5 star rating on Superdrug, so I would highly recommend in this investment.
