Whether you’re refreshing your entire wardrobe, or simply looking to pick up some new pieces, the Metrocentre has you covered. The second-biggest shopping centre in the UK is home to many beloved fashion brands - here’s some of our favourites.

H&M

This classic high-street store is a go-to spot for your autumn basics. From a long-sleeve tops to statement jackets, H&M is the place to get your much-needed layers for the upcoming colder months. Plus, if you’re still decorating your uni room, you can visit their dedicated H&M Home store located just next door!

Zara

This store is a staple within the Metrocentre, and underwent a huge expansion two years ago. This season, the Spanish brand are really embracing tweed and chequered patterns across the board, including jackets, skirts and nautical caps. Perfect for autumn – and for the student races!

Stradivarius

The new kid on the block in the Metrocentre is Stradivarius. Opening in August, the store has quickly risen in popularity for its clothes that fit any type of occasion – uni, work, night out, you name it.

If you’re looking to buy some pieces that fit the autumnal colour palette, look no further than Stradivarius. From tops, to jackets, to knitwear, to heels, they absolutely love the colour burgundy.

Urban Outfitters

The newest arrival at the Metrocentre is legendary Gen-Z favourite, Urban Outfitters. This is the go-to place if you’re looking for clothing that’s a bit more daring, whether that be an eye-catching graphic t-shirt or a going-out top with tiny frogs on it (that could just be me, though).

Marks & Spencer

The last stop on this list is none other than Marks & Spencer. In the past, this store was targeted towards older generations, but in recent years, they’ve released clothing lines that will suit just about everyone!

They’ve got incredibly high quality knitwear and jackets, particularly their trench coats. Some of their stuff is on the pricier side, but the durability of these clothes and their commitment to natural fibres means that you’ll be able to get your money’s worth.
