In our current technology-based system, where every minute detail of work could be done with utilizing the modern machinery but there are still certain sector where the manual work gives the best results. If we consider the age of a politician then it’s natural that a person needs time and patience to reach the highest level.

There are only few instances where we can see politicians in their 30s or 40s getting successful enough to reach true political heights, even after displaying extra-ordinary talent. Perhaps, in every job there should be a certain limitation on its tenure and that’s necessary for the person to operate at their best level.

At at young age, quality of service can be maintained by the professionals but as time passes it becomes stressful for any worker to give his or her best. It’s no different in the case of politician as they had to work not only in the government but also in service of the total population. Meanwhile, it can also be argued that with increases in age, politicians get the experience of running the organizations so at the end their experience can provide wisdom and knowledge not seen in younger politicians

We generally see that the top level bureaucrat tends to be an experienced & aged man and that’s a needed asset to the political system but side by side we should also focus on the quality of service every politician is providing to the general public. Scientifically, young people can do better jobs because they can adapt the change & technology quickly that will further help the overall system to run smoothly and up to date. Today the terms effective & efficient are more valuable than experience because to run the nation a person has to be fast & dynamic along with adaptability which will further contribute to the positive growth of the nation.

Moreover, it can be proposed that the age limit should be decided according to the political system of a particular country but on an average there should be a limit of 70-75 years depending upon the situation. In this age limit a person can get sufficient time to reach at the top level and with their enormous experience they can serve their respective nation with ease. The limit should be maintained just to ensure that in this career everyone gets the fair chance to serve their country rather than monopoly and the standard of the work remains maintained because in the end, the goal of every politician is to serve the people best. Post 75, every senior political person should act as an advisor to the upcomers that would further enhance quality mentorship to the young leaders and reduce the generation gap between veterans & junior administrators.
