Nobody likes a holiday disaster, make sure your travels go to plan no matter what happens with these handy phone hacks.

Favourite places on google maps

Google maps is by far on the easiest ways to navigate a new area whether walking, driving, or cycling. Google maps has the option to download certain map areas offline so that if you don’t have data and no access to WIFI  you can still use the app, this can be especially helpful when in places like national parks where reception may drop suddenly. On the online version you can still use app tools like the favourites and pin drop aid.  These tools can help you see how far away your current location is without having to type it in many a time.

Download your boarding pass

Especially since covid, checking in online and self-check-ins are the new norm when travelling via air. Download your boarding pass before you head to the airport, which can be saved to your apple wallet or airline account. It gives peace of mind that you won’t lose a flimsy piece of paper while away.

Use googles translate to your advantage

Majority of people will have the Google translate app, but the app has a cool feature which people may not know about where you can simply use the camera to scan over text in a foreign language and it will instantly translate it for you. This app can be used for translating street signs or menus in restaurants, this is a game changer when it comes to navigating a new county or unfamiliar language.
