SPOILERS WILL BE MENTIONED IN THIS ARTICLE!!!!!

Villanelle and Eve Polastri (Killing Eve) – the stars of Killing Eve had an undoubtedly turbulent relationship, that ended with both the viewers and Eve being heartbroken. Seeing Villanelle sink to the bottom of the Thames was like seeing a biscuit drop into your brew.

Mark Sloan and Lexie Grey (Grey’s Anatomy) – any Grey’s Anatomy fan who knows the phrases “Meant to be” or “I can’t sleep, I can’t breathe, I can’t eat, and I love you” will agree that the ‘will they, won’t they?’ attitude of this relationship consumed all viewers for quite a while.

When Lexie unfortunately died, and Mark was there in her final minute, you could see his heart break into a thousand while the love of his life slipped away. He did everything in his power to comfort her in her last moments. Whenever I rewatch the show, regardless of where I am in the world, I will always cry at the season 8 finale.

Seeing Villanelle sink to the bottom of the Thames was like seeing a biscuit drop into your brew.

Jack Gibson and Andy Herrera (Station 19) – it honestly broke my heart when I saw the end of this relationship, but the viewer knows that this couple were not in the right head-space for a relationship. They were both insanely driven and wanted to succeed in life and rise through the ranks of being firefighters. For one of them to get a promotion in their firehouse, the other would have to fail.

In the final episode of the show, in Andy’s hazy dream, we see her watching the failed proposal from season one, wishing that she hadn’t overreacted at that moment. Their trauma over the years could be what made her want him back, but we never had that confirmation, so we have to acknowledge that the relationship ended and was never rekindled.
