Dear Tribble,

How do I begin this letter, where do I start? I guess the only place that I can write from is the heart. You left us not too long ago little one, much to my dismay. We all knew you were ill, but I thought that you would stay. My father told me over the phone after having held you through the night. We hoped you would have pulled through, for you to pass now simply isn’t right.

I almost don’t want to believe it, and yet it’s the truth. But what else is true? How much we love you, and love you still. Your mischievous nature always made us laugh, although your digging hijinks often make us sigh! These are memories we hold dear which now bring a tear to the eye. I will miss giving you carrots, cabbage and always lots of cuddles. Truthfully without you, we are in something of a muddle.

I hope you know I love you, and that I always will. Even though you’ve passed, I can tell you’re with us still. I promise I will continue to care for Truffle and that I will try to smile. I promise that I will think of you every once in a while.

Give my love to Midnight, Budge and Willow, the bunnies that have gone before. I hope they know they’ve not left my heart, you will all stay there forevermore.

All my love, Emily.
