Calling all vintage lovers, fashion enthusiasts, and Depop scavengers: Newcastle’s “newest, biggest vintage fashion thrift market” will be descending upon ‘The Toon’ for the first time on Saturday 11 November 2023! A handy five-minute walk from Northumberland Street, ‘Love Vintage Market’ will take over Northumbria University’s Student Union from 11am-5pm for everyone to browse 25+ stalls full of pre-loved clothing, and handmade art and jewellery. Whether your [sweet] dreams are made of 80s styles, or your inner Paris Hilton is revealed with Y2K silhouettes, this vintage pop-up market will help you to sustainably revive your wardrobe this Autumn.
The line up also includes some of the UK’s top Depop sellers, selling a myriad of styles, aesthetics, and eras from retro-vintage to sportswear. Why scroll through your Depop feed when you can walk around the real-life version? A local Geordie DJ will be playing throughout the event, and there’s no need to leave for a snack break as the market is also hosting two food stalls of baked sweet treats. If fashion isn’t your thing, there will also be handmade art and prints, jewellery, crafts, and even crystals on sale!
Tickets are available to pre-book on Love Vintage Market’s Eventbrite page, or can be purchased at the door on the day, and work in a tiered pricing system: £3 for 11am, £2.50 for 12pm and 2pm, and FREE from 4pm. There is no time limit, so once you’ve purchased a ticket you can stay for as long as you like, and getting there early will ensure you can pick up the best pieces before anyone else!
